From 2002 to 2008, she worked as a consultant and assistant judge in the Shevchenko District Court of Kyiv. In 2008, by Presidential Decree, she was appointed to the position of judge of the Shevchenko District Court. In 2013, she was elected to the position of judge of the Shevchenko District Court for an indefinite term.

Over the past 4 months, as part of the consideration of the so-called “Sheremet case,” she has illegally scheduled closed-door sessions (Article 7 of the Code of Criminal Procedure). At the same time, she herself did not adhere to this regime, allowing journalists, operatives and investigators who are not related to the proceedings into the courtroom, but forbidding relatives and guarantors, including people's deputies of Ukraine, to be present. During the consideration of the case under her chairmanship, the norm of continuity of trial (Article 322 of the Code of Criminal Procedure) was also repeatedly violated.

In 2019, she dropped the suspicion against Andriy Portnov, the former deputy chief of staff of ex-President V. Yanukovych's administration, for threatening the prosecutor.

As reported NGO "Ukraine against the Arbitrariness of Officials", in 2020, Holub O. refused to disqualify Judge Shevchenkovskyi, Judge Trubnikov A.V. from considering the complaint under reference No. 3829/27 dated February 27, 2020, against the inaction of the head of the State Anti-Corruption Bureau, which was expressed in the failure to enter into the ERDR information on the application under reference No. 3806/21 dated February 21, 2020 about the offense committed by the judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court Moysak S.M.

According to activists, Judge Holub O.A. had to grant the application dated March 3, 2020 to disqualify Judge Trubnikov A.V. on the basis of existing norms of international law, which are mandatory for Ukraine to implement, in accordance with concluded interstate agreements.

Also, according to information "De Jure Foundations", in 2017, the judge chose a preventive measure for the son of People's Deputy Shufrych, who was suspected of violating traffic rules and causing serious bodily harm, - bail for the father and house arrest.

Also, for Holub, the indictment against former People's Deputy Mykola Martynenko, who is suspected of embezzling half a billion hryvnias, was returned to eliminate deficiencies.
