About the Pravotvorets
The goal is to protect the rights and freedoms of Ukrainian citizens from violations and illegal encroachments related to politically and corruptly motivated processes.
"Pravotvorets" takes into consideration the cases of veterans, volunteers, military personnel, volunteers and businesses whose rights have been violated on political or corruption grounds. Information about such cases is made public after verification by our experts and lawyers.
Task:
— formation of a database of persons involved in persecution for political and corruption motives;
— coordination of public opposition to political repressions;
— coverage of illegal actions by representatives of the judicial branch of government and law enforcement officers;
— support for victims of biased criminal prosecutions;
— protection of the rights of the repressed at the international level.
Lawmaker was created as a response to numerous "persecutions" in the form of criminal proceedings against volunteers. The initiative gained publicity at the end of 2020, when the issue of the fight for the right in the so-called Sheremet Case was on the agenda, where cardiac surgeon and volunteer Yulia Kuzmenko, SSO sergeant Andrii Antonenko "Rif", military nurse Yana Dugar were accused based on fabricated materials. And also the case of Serhii Sternenko's self-defense.
The lawmaker participated in the coordination of public support measures for victims of law enforcement officers, conducted information campaigns to ensure public publicity of high-profile politically motivated cases, recorded the files of executors of political orders regarding the fabrication of cases of veterans, volunteers, activists and volunteers, drew the attention of the international community to the illegal actions of judges, prosecutors, investigators and other representatives of law enforcement agencies.
During the peak of active public activity, a dozen protest actions against the violation of human and civil rights, Lawmaker established a system of urgent notification of detention. Participants of events in case of police detention could quickly inform our specialists about this thanks to the Chatbot of Lawmaker: @FreeMe. We provided urgent legal assistance and passed on information to our lawyers.
Thanks to active public publicity and public attention, it was possible to change the strict preventive measures in the form of detention of the victims of politically motivated persecution, in particular Andriy Antonenko, Yulia Kuzmenko, Viktoria Kotelenets, and to achieve justice in the case of Serhiy Sternenko and dozens of activists.
The Law Maker team worked on a volunteer basis, involving human rights defenders, journalists and representatives of the public sector in the active struggle for law and justice.
With the beginning of a full-scale invasion, priorities were changed to repel Russian aggression. So the Lawmaker team joined the defense forces and the volunteer movement.
Despite the full-scale war, the persecution of political opponents and inconvenient or disloyal soldiers, volunteers and public figures has resumed. First of all, we want to draw attention to the fact that law enforcement agencies should not provoke crimes, but warn and stop them.
We understand that we have only one enemy - Russia, and we call on everyone to be restrained in their words. But the opening of trumped-up criminal cases against those who, in the first hours of the full-scale invasion, took up arms and defended the capital of Ukraine (without diminishing the merits of other defenders) is a red line that cannot be crossed under any circumstances. Those who provoke unrest among citizens during military operations, internal confrontations and sow discord between people act in favor of Moscow. And these acts should be investigated under the articles of sabotage, sabotage, subversive activity against defense capability. We closely monitor such cases and do not want to raise a wave of "Zadophilism", so we also call on law enforcement agencies to treat such cases with special correctness and not be a "Trojan horse" in terms of protecting national security and territorial integrity.

Reviews
Serhii Sternenko
"People who carry out repressions are very afraid of publicity, they would prefer us to forget about their involvement. Therefore, the creation of the "Pravotvorets" base is an extremely important event. It will help us better navigate the personnel policy of the authorities. Perhaps this resource will prevent someone from becoming a judge of the Supreme Court or the Prosecutor General in the future. It is important that the perpetrators of persecution suffer the well-deserved punishment"

"It seems to us that the "system" is boundless, immeasurable, amorphous, incomprehensible and strong. But when we start to understand in more detail - who signed the resolution? Who signed the protocol? Who noted the specific false information, the request for NSRD (undercover investigative search actions), who conducted the examination? Specific surnames emerge, and they often overlap.

"Without punishment of the guilty, there are no guarantees that you will not be thrown behind bars tomorrow. The first step to punishing the persecutors is precisely the recording of crimes by law enforcement and judicial bodies, which is what the project is doing. The activity of the Lawmaker project is a contribution to the great struggle for fair justice for all, for the reboot of the entire law enforcement and judicial system."

"#sudovy_maidan - the unification of those who do not care about arbitrariness in this case, as well as in others, led to the emergence of a fairly large group of people who systematically defended and defends those who are persecuted for political reasons. This is how the Lawmaker was born... During this time, many things happened. There were fights in front of the courts and multi-thousand-thousand actions, overnight stays under the Prosecutor General's Office and wild behavior of the Ministry of Justice security. By chance, I would like to thank all the real people I met at the courts and actions related to this case. Those who care should build a new Ukraine after the victory!"

"We should keep a record of judges' actions - not for the sake of personally shaming them, but for the sake of documenting shameful phenomena, the system as a whole and bringing society to zero tolerance for them"
