In fact, it is a very strange feeling to once again watch a convoy transfer Andriy Antonenko from the Shevchenko District Court of Kyiv to the pre-trial detention center, where he has been held for over a year.
Andriy was once again caught up with a dozen cars in a convoy and a lot of National Guards.
And then they drive away with a loud siren, and you again look emotionlessly after them and can't take your eyes off them until the cars disappear, the siren still blaring. You know, this time after a few hours in court, it's hard to talk.
What to tell? That the TV channels and people from the support group, unfortunately, are decreasing? That the people's deputies-guarantors were again not allowed into the session in violation of the Law of Ukraine “On the People's Deputy” and the principle of transparency and openness of the court? That the wife, mother and siblings are still not allowed into the court session in violation of the law, so that at least they do not freeze in court and could exchange a few words with him to support him? That the judges, despite the lawyers' requests, do not recognize the evidence collected with gross violations as inadmissible and include it in the case materials in order to give them an assessment in the deliberations? That the representative of the victim is actually a “second prosecutor”? That the OGPU prosecutor continues, I apologize, to bleat about Antonenko being a criminal, referring to evidence that has been completely destroyed by the defense and has little to do with common sense? That they plan to interrogate 263 witnesses and this will last for years? That Andriy has still not been provided with the necessary medical care and that he is increasingly becoming unlike the Andriy he was in pretrial detention until this year? Or maybe it's time to tell you again that the accusation is far-fetched, and, as they say, you shouldn't abandon your own people?
And they say it rightly. I think to myself that Andriy Antonenko at one time and for such reasons participated in the war in Donbas as a volunteer in a military hospital. And probably for such reasons he also improved the image of the Special Operations Forces, being a senior sergeant. And during the Russian-Ukrainian war he was engaged in patriotic education, gave concerts for the Ukrainian military, probably for these same beliefs. Because they don't abandon their own. Right? Let's at least not be silent...
In short, tomorrow Riffmaster has another chance to be released. The Court of Appeal will review his detention on February 10 at 2:00 p.m. Please come and support him... At every meeting, Andriy asks, who came? Who is there? #FreeRiffmaster
