NABU is investigating two criminal proceedings regarding the actions of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Prosecutor Serhiy Bizhko, initiated based on the statements of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council Deputy Andriy Denysenko.

The first – under Part 1 of Article 365 of the Criminal Code (abuse of official authority) – based on the fact of appointment Prosecutor Artem Maznytsia for the position bypassing the competition.
The second – under Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (official forgery) – for retroactively adding oneself to the group of prosecutors.
“Both crimes were committed by Mr. Bizhko during criminal proceedings fabricated against me as a politician and public figure at the behest of his classmate and former chairman of the regional council, Oliynyk,” notes Denysenko.
