Denisenko trial: judge rejects defense motion

On January 21, the trial in the case of Andriy Denysenko took place in Dnipro.

During the court hearing, a complaint by lawyer Darya Kiyanenko against the inaction of investigator Serhienko was considered.

The latter, according to the defense, has still not responded properly to the lawyer's request dated 17.12.2020, although he has her phone number and email address. In this request, the lawyer requests the protocol of the interrogation of Andriy Denysenko dated 16.12.20. This is the very "interrogation" that the prosecutor's investigator Sergienko conducted in the open air, meeting Denysenko near the entrance to his house late at night.

The court's decision is to refuse to grant the motion of lawyer Kyyanenko without the right to appeal.

Another complaint against the investigator was also considered due to ignoring another request, in which the lawyer requests from the investigation documents on the basis of which Andriy Denysenko was put on the wanted list.

It should be noted that even the appellate court recognized the fact that Denisenko was not hiding from the investigation, so the reasons for declaring him wanted are not known to the defense. All the previously mentioned circumstances indicating the investigator's inaction turned out to be similar during this court hearing. The investigation does not provide the documents requested by the defense, according to which Denisenko was declared wanted.

But, despite all the arguments, the court also rejected this complaint.

The next hearing in Denysenko's case is scheduled for January 25.
