The Odessa Court of Appeal acquitted Serhiy Sternenko and Ruslan Demchuk under two articles: 187 (robbery) and 146 (kidnapping).
During the search, one cartridge was found on Serhiy, for which he was charged under Article 263 (illegal handling of weapons).
According to the court, "keeping 1 cartridge could have posed a danger because Sternenko actively participated in protests."
It was under the third article that Serhiy was sentenced to 1 year of probation. While under the other two, he was acquitted. This is the current summary of the so-called “300 hryvnia case.”
Ruslan Demchuk was acquitted on all counts.
Serhiy's defense is preparing to file a cassation appeal.
