The case of Tetyana Chornovol has been fabricated since 2014 by the current MP from the pro-Russian party “Opposition Platform – For Life” in order to target the Maidan protesters. She is accused of premeditated murder during the storming of the “Party of Regions” office on February 18, 2014. It turned out that the investigation into the Chornovol case began in 2014. The main body of the case was falsified during 2014-2016. The investigation was supervised by the head of the Main Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Oleksandr Vakulenko, and his deputy, Hryhoriy Mamka.
There are documents in the case that Mamka instructed investigators to report to him every Friday on the results of the investigation. The investigation itself was conducted in secret, the case was for some reason hidden and kept not on Bogomolets Street, but in the Pechersk District Police Department. Chornovol learned about this from the case documents opened to her, since on November 17, the State Bureau of Investigation completed the pre-trial investigation and provided documents for review. Currently, Hryhoriy Mamka is a people's deputy from the "OPZZH". In addition, the main witness for the prosecution currently works as an assistant to people's deputy Hryhoriy Mamka.
In addition, the prosecution's main witness currently works as an assistant to People's Deputy Hryhoriy Mamka. He testified that Chornovol allegedly called for people to be beaten.
But that's not all. Pro-Russian revanchists are systematically looking for other ways of political repression against Maidan activists and discrediting the Revolution of Dignity. It was Hryhoriy Mamka and his 49 colleagues from the "OPZZH" and "Servant of the People" who in June 2020 appealed to the Constitutional Court of Ukraine to lift the amnesty for Maidan activists. As Chornovol is convinced, she is being charged with premeditated murder only because in this way she can be prosecuted for Maidan, since all other articles of the Criminal Code are currently under amnesty.
So, the pro-Russian forces fabricated a politically motivated case against Chornovol right after the Maidan and waited for their time. And now they are confidently raising their heads and enlisting the support of the Office of the President, because Volodymyr Zelensky is obviously also interested in discrediting the Maidan and civil activists. The Sheremet case eloquently testifies to this. And through the line of the deputy head of the OPU Oleg Tatarov and in particular Yanukovych's lawyer, the former first deputy head of the State Bureau of Investigation Oleksandr Babikov, they are now implementing political repressions against patriots. Follow the case of Tetyana Chornovol, it is indicative and important.
