what is happening with the so-called "Sheremet Affair"

On June 2, the Shevchenkiv District Court held another court hearing on "Sheremet's affairs", in which Yuliya Kuzmenko, Andrii Antonenko and Yana Dugar are unjustly accused.

1️⃣ The trial will start from the very beginning due to the new jury selection. Two jurors could not fulfill their duties (travel abroad and mobilization).
2️⃣ They granted the request to change Yana Dugar's preventive measure (it used to be: bail for personal obligations) and decided to return the funds that were collected as bail.
Since the funds for Yana's bail were collected by caring Ukrainians, the return of the bail will be directed to the assistance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Yana Dugar's personal file was also returned to her, which is very important for her as a military officer.
3️⃣ The petition to suspend the court proceedings for the period of martial law was not granted.

📄“On the one hand, I want this theater of absurdity in Avaki to end as soon as possible. This process is one of the high-profile litmus tests for the state of our country's law enforcement and judicial systems, and the result will show what we have, where and how. On the other hand, it is very difficult for Yana and Andrii to get to the court hearings because they are defending Ukraine.

Yes, it is difficult for us. In addition to the burden that every Ukrainian carries (war, losses, shelling, uncertainty about the future), for the fourth year we are carrying the psychological burden of an unjust accusation of a terrible crime. It exhausts us, our families. Neither those who really killed Sheremet nor those who brazenly mocked us and made fun of Ukrainian society by falsifying this case were punished. And I, Andriy, and Yana understand very well that there is a war in the country, we do not stand aside, but justice cannot be "out of time". Yuliya Kuzmenko commented on the court's decision.

The war continues: Yulia continues to work as a pediatric heart surgeon and travels to front-line cities and villages to check children's hearts; Andriy is fighting in the Special Operations Forces; Yana Dugar saves the lives of Ukrainian soldiers. Meanwhile, the prosecutor's office continues to abuse Ukrainian volunteers and the military, and judges refuse to stop court proceedings under martial law.

Thank you for your support and joint struggle for the truth. Justice will be restored!
