{"id":460,"date":"2021-04-02T11:14:44","date_gmt":"2021-04-02T08:14:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pravotvorets.local\/news\/deputaty-ternopilshchyny-pidtrymaly-politviazniv\/"},"modified":"2021-04-02T11:14:44","modified_gmt":"2021-04-02T08:14:44","slug":"deputaty-ternopilshchyny-pidtrymaly-politviazniv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pravotvorets.info\/en\/news\/deputaty-ternopilshchyny-pidtrymaly-politviazniv\/","title":{"rendered":"Ternopil region deputies supported political prisoners"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Ternopil Regional Council adopted an appeal to the President of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the High Council of Justice, and the Prosecutor General&#039;s Office regarding the domestic political situation and assessment of the activities of the law enforcement and judicial systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pravotvorets.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Screenshot_2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2291\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pravotvorets.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Screenshot_3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2292\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this address, the deputies supported Andriy Antonenko, Serhiy Sternenko, Volodymyr Nazarenko and other patriots persecuted by the authorities, and demanded the resignation of Iryna Venediktova from the position of Prosecutor General, the removal from the judicial position of judge of the Primorsky District Court of Odesa Viktor Poprevich (who sentenced Sternenko to 7.3 years in prison), and the release of political prisoners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The deputies adopted the appeal at the request of the patriotic public of the city, in particular, the activist of the Movement of Resistance to Capitulation in the Ternopil region, the head of the NGO &quot;Self-Defense of the Maidan&quot; Ivan Kovalyk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pravotvorets.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Screenshot_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2290\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A similar appeal \u2013 to the President, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Prosecutor General, and the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine \u2013 was also adopted by the Ternopil City Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pravotvorets.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/85691676-de63-4be4-838e-27c13c28bb51.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2293\" width=\"513\" height=\"686\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pravotvorets.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/b57f43c2-c724-473d-8fc0-1ac38bffd581.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2294\" width=\"516\" height=\"385\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In their appeal, the deputies demand to ensure an objective and impartial review of Serhiy Sternenko&#039;s case by the appellate court;
