As can be seen from the register of court decisions and information from the publication "Ukrainian Pravda", Judge Yashchenko was a member of the panel of judges, which left unchanged the life sentence imposed by the Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv on the former head of the Department of External Surveillance of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Oleksiy Pukach, on the charge of murdering journalist Heorhiy Gongadze.
  2. According to information from the Unified State Register of Court Decisions, on February 6, 2019, Judge Yashchenko was a member of the panel of judges that decided decision about cancellation decisions of the investigating judge of the Solomyansky District Court of Kyiv, which imposed an arrest on the corporate rights of Arkona Gas-Energy LLC with a ban on any registration actions. As reported on the "Word and Deed" website, The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine is investigating the alleged abuse of office by officials of the State Geology and Subsoil Service of Ukraine when granting a special permit for gas production without competition and at an undervalued price to Arkona Gas-Energy.
