Yuri Kaplya
A veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, he served in the ranks of the Azov regiment. After demobilization, he became a public activist. He was among the volunteers who went to the disengagement line in Zolote-4 and actively opposed the surrender of the Ukrainian army and provided protection for civilians in the gray (buffer) zone.

On March 12, 2020, veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war disrupted the event of the then adviser to the Secretary of the National Security Council Serhiy Sivoho under the name "National Platform of Reconciliation and Unity" and expelled him from the "Parkovy" KEC. When leaving the hall, during the incident Sivoho lost his balance and ended up on the floor. Veterans of the "Azov" regiment were accused of this Serhiy Tamarin, Yuriy Kaplyu and Oleksandr Demydov. They are suspected of hooliganism under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The Azov veterans face up to 5 years in prison.
On March 13, the detainees were given preventive measures: Volkova - 24-hour house arrest, Tamarin and Kapla - personal bond. The Pechersky District Court of Kyiv postponed the consideration of the case on the merits until January 21.
In addition, the war veterans also sent a notification to the Security Service of Ukraine about the commission of treason by Sivokha, as he initiated the collaborative action. According to the activists, any attempts to "establish a dialogue" with representatives of the occupation administrations and persons who contribute to the illegal occupation of the territory of Ukraine are treason.

On March 12, 2020, the investigation conducted an identification. The case materials include an identification protocol, according to which a photo of one of the defendants in the case, Serhiy Tamarin, is shown against the wall of the district police station, and portraits of Ben Affleck and Justin Timberlake are next to it.
On March 13, 2020, Serhiy Tamarin and Yuriy Kapla were given a preventive measure in the form of a personal bond, and Oleksandr Demidov was given house arrest for one month.
On June 12, 2020, at a preliminary court hearing, the lawyers filed a motion to close the case and return the indictment to the prosecutor. The court refused.
On July 29, 2020, at a court hearing, the lawyer filed a motion to disqualify the judge. On the same day, another judge, without summoning the prosecution, held a hearing in which he refused to disqualify the judge.
On September 29, 2020, the prosecutor in the case announced the indictment, the lawyer announced the opening defense speech. The defendants pleaded not guilty. The procedure for examining the evidence was determined. Written evidence (protocols, reports) should be studied first.
On November 4 and 5, 2020, court hearings were not held due to the illness of Alexander Demydov and Sergey Tamarin.
