On June 9, the Primorsky District Court of Odesa announced the sentence to Baimukashev Abzal Amangaliyovych in the case of the attempt on Serhiy Sternenko, which took place on May 1, 2018
That day, the attacker shot Serhiy in the back of the head. But since Sternenko did not lose consciousness and began to pursue him, he managed to detain the attacker.
▪️ Baimukashev was found guilty of attempted murder and illegal possession and handling of weapons. The verdict will enter into legal force one month from the day of the announcement, if there is no appeal.
The customers and accomplices of the crime, including the police, were never charged. Baimukashev is the only one who was tried for attacking Sternenko in all three episodes.
The process of Serhiy's self-defense during the third attack continues and is already close to a verdict.
